BloggingHeads

I was reading a story about maintaining diversity of choice when it is counterproductive in the Times when I noticed an excerpt from the site BloggingHeads

They take a couple of informed people and set them up against each other in a discussion on a particular topic where they can get into some depth. So, instead of having a Bill O’Reilly or Jon Stewart act as a general commentator on lots of issues, you have a couple people who are actual experts talking about their particular issue. Yay for the internets.

The site don’t seem to have embedding of their videos in external pages set up though and that seems a bit naive for an idea centered content provider in this link-based viral web world.

On a related note, the company that owns it also runs meaningoflife.tv. It’s got lots of little interesting tidbits on cognition. It was interesting seeing Huston Smith talk about his mystical experience and the faith of atheists. It would be so cool to have this interviewer’s job.
