j: the world

I have been on the road for the last couple of days driving first to Alabama to find an apartment in Huntsville (successfully done) and then on to Pensacola, Florida to get burnt badly in the sun (also successfully.) S was with me and we talked alot those many long hours on the road and there are certain themes that I want to talk about some. They are things that I have been thinking about for some time but am finding it difficult to find the time and energy to explore. I am going to try and get into them some now.

I am feeling very sad. I just went and presented my program and Kosa did not seem to like it. When she was telling us what to do she said that she wanted a Java application that operated in an appreciable sense over a network. My program uses an online datastore to keep its information it’s core functionality is dependent on utilizing the benefits of a network. I think what she meant though was that she wanted our program to deal with the rudimentary details of networking. She seemed more happy with people’s chat programs then with my project.

for: way to waste time

I have been procrastinating today and wandered across an interesting VMS program. It is the classic minesweeper. Neat, drugs | huh?

At the $ just type:

run [wjh3957.programs]minesweeper

it is much more fun than studying. =) (Hit ctrl-z to exit the program.)
